Relief

So should i say this is a relief or the other way round, it's  been really really busy with the new family member, my new born baby boy.  After a week of taking care of my child, now came my parent lend a helping hand, it was not permanent at least they eased my burden and stress a little bit more.  Many thanks to my Mom and Dad.  Well that only temporary, i still got to figured out the taking care plan for my little one.

It was really sucks for both of me and my wife were working 10 to 10. This issue become our  difficulties in looking for a nanny.  Most of the nanny are doing short time period just like those office hours.  Well, then we came out with this plan to send our boy to my mother in law. Million thanks to her as willing to take care our boy. Seems like a relief? No.... We got to travel all the way up North to visit our boy there after, anyway at least some one we trust and confident with can look after him.

Well, I'm pretty sure we are going to miss our boy very much, what to do, that's the thing you got to sacrifice to earn a living in a big city.  All right, i'm gonna share some of my boy pictures below taken after full moon.

Confinement Week

Wow... taking care of a new born baby wasn't an easy job, i learnt to changed diapers, carrying a baby in a proper way, bottle feeding, wrapping baby so that he can felt more secured and lots of stuff to learn, trust me it was 10 times tougher then carrying an air tank walking to the pier. Well that was tough during the first week and u'll get it handy the times go on.

For Joan, she was busy doing her confinement as this is a must for a conventional chinese like us.  Cut the story short , i had found her a vegetarian confinement lady, Yea... vegetarian means she had no chicken or any meat for that particular week. This is what she wanted but only for a week. The confinement lady (罗姐）had teach me lots of things as well. Beside preparing food for Joan, she looked  after our baby, shower him, feed him and she never stop asking Joan to breast feeding our boy, talking how great is that breast feeding.  I can see that Joan was exhausted feeding Micah and using the breast pump was tiring too. Thumbs up for you Joan and love you so much!

After 38 weeks of nervously waiting, finally my junior was reported himself at time 0114 Putrajaya Hospital.  During the labour, i can only said that it was extremely painful  by looking at my wife facial expression. I got no idea how suffer is that during the constrictions, i can barely remember i was only spiritually verbally supporting my her.  Anyway this had been through, and my boy was healthy and weighted at 3.81kg. "That was heavy", this is told by the nurse at the shift.

Can't wait to share the joy with the world and i believe i gotta be real busy for the rest of the days. Child's care planning, arrangement, Joan's confinement..... Well gotta get busy and will keep update on my blog.

A Brand New Journey 9

My baby was 37 weeks until today, another 2 to 3 weeks time, here gonna come my little one to the world. Honestly, this is excited, i can't wait to see my baby. Baby was still weighted at 3.2kg, i doubt that Joan must be worried and control her diet maybe. 

Doctor was given a chart call "baby movement chart" where you have to check the boxes if happened the baby is kicking you. Advice from doctor that this gonna done from 9am to 9pm everyday until the delivery day. Anyway checked up today showed that Joan and baby was very healthy. Well now i just sit tight and wait for the baby!

Zeagle Stiletto BCD (Buoyancy Control Device)

There are so many types of BC in the market nowadays, such as jacket style, back inflated, wing and finally i had made up my mind. I got myself  the Zeagle Stiletto (back inflated).  I believed most of the divers are using jacket style BC at the early stage as most of the dive centre only provided this type of BC.

Before i made up my mind to go for this back inflated BC, i had actually experienced the wing type BC. There are so many positive comments about this BC but personally i don't find myself into it even though this type of BC always getting the higher rating and lots of positive comments.

I personally found that back inflated BC is like more secured to me, it is designed according to the jacket but the air only inflated at the back somehow give me the feeling like a wing type BC. This BC also come with built in weight pocket and two detachable which i found is a great advantages. So forget  the weight belt and just put the weight into the pocket.

While underwater, i'll say i love this BC, weight are evenly spread. This helped in streamline myself. Besides this BC also equipped with 5 stainless steel D rings, and this is useful as well for me. i clipped my camera, pointer, and SMB at those D rings to make things organized.

Anyway, buying a BC was totally personal preference as long as we find comfortable with it and enjoy it underwater.

Today was Joan prenatal care check up  for month no eight, and the baby weight as today was 3.2 kg, that was heavy i think, so will it create difficulty during delivery? Since the doctor didn't say anything, i guess it was safe though. Friend of mine told me this was normal as his first baby girl was weight about 3.2 kg. But mine was weight 3.2 kg in month no. eight yet the due date.  Am i a little overanxious? LOL i got a big and strong baby!

As i get older and older, times flies...... Thanks to facebook for those wishes from all long lost friends. Social networking really does it jobs, no more birthday cards, it was all virtual nowadays, anyway the cares and the birthdays wishes from friends really warm up my heart and again thanks guys and i really appreciate it.

Scuba Diving @ Tenggol island

It's been a while from my last blog update and this time gonna shared my recent trip to Tenggol Island dive trip. This was 3 days 2 nights trip together with my buddies, Kevin, Jack and Kelly. So i booked the Tenggol Resort from the very limited info i got from MDC forum. Upon calling up Abang Zol, everything was set.

We were driving all the way from Puchong, Selangor to Dungun Raja Wali jetty. The journey took us about five hours to reach there. Well we boarded the boat right after meeting up the DM Hazrol.  Journey from the jetty to the island was about an hour.

As this was still early after the monsoon, the sea condition was a bit rough, but it can't stop our diving spirit.  Upon reaching the island, the beach and the resorts wasn't look impressive but we still got a warm welcome from the local.

As usual checked in the resort was the very first thing to do,  without wasting time, i quickly setup my camera and gears and waiting for the first dive of the day.  Before we started our first dive, it started to rain, what a bad day! Anyway we don't care as we were so hunger for nitrogen. Visibility for the first dive was unbelievable which was reaching almost 15 meters, cool visibility but the strong current created lot of difficulties for me to take pictures.

A Brand New Journey 7

This is our second visit to Putrajaya Hospital and the waiting was sucks compared to the first visit. But since Joan was so convinced by some forum and her friend talking about how good of this hospital as well as the doctor, so i can only follow anything she wanted, i don't want postpartum depression happened on her later. Well the expert said must taking care of pregnant ladies especially their emotion or mood swing, don't let them down, fulfill their needs or desire with the best you can.

Well, what a regret that i didn't get the picture of my baby at this stage as the previous doc will give a copy.  So no picture for this time and i'll definitely ask for the picture for the coming check up.

A Brand New Journey 6

Joan can't wait to look at our baby this time and decided to go for a 4D scanning.  However our baby was a little shy, can't see him thoroughly. I have totally no idea about the advance of the medical equipment until i came across with this machine, it can record the baby in 4D, movements and lots of things.

 

New Year 2011

A new condominium named Atmosphere was under construction and it was situated beside my apartment, luckily it wasn't block all of my view from my balcony and i was still managed to snap some new year eve fireworks shots.

As usual, scared of the crowd outside and this year celebrated with Joan, Kevin, Zaymes and Pearl. We had a small gathering at my house and enjoying the fireworks from my balcony.
