A Brand New Journey

I can't tell how was the feeling when i first been told by my wife "I'm pregnant". I was completely shock...... anyway i was back in the situation and known that i'm goin to be a DADDY. My brain is blank now and what i have to do from now on was the concentration on my child and of course my wife.

How amazing there for a complete process of a child until giving birth. Well i'm gonna go through this from now on. Here was the very first picture of my kid and of course gender unknown.

Pool Dive

This was my second pool dive since 5 or 6 years ago,  That was my first confined water pool dive prior to the open water certification at the island.  Well my purpose this time was doing some equipment test as well as my friends who bought their gear at the MIDE 2010. Lau got his flight Apex regulators and Kevin got his Dive Rite travel pac wing BCD. As for me, i wanna test on my Ikelite UW housing and the AF35 strobe. Pictures below were all taken using the strobe with Canon S90.

My first few shots were all over exposed, i couldn't get the exposure correct by using Tv and A mode until i found only using the Manual mode, changing the F, adjust the strobe power to get the correct exposure.  Some of the pics below seems a little under exposed, but it was fun working hard on the setting and so on.

So coming up next will be my underwater pics, hopefully it's gonna be a "WOW"

DIY Carrying Case

I've been searching for a carrying case to store my UW camera and strobes, all i got was the well known HPRC and SKB case.  But these case gonna cost a bomb to me. So i decided to DIY my self a carrying case. I started up with a tool box, tour mat (foam type), and a double side tape.  For me, this is an easy job, i cut the tour mat according to the size of the tool box to wrap around inside the tool box, this served to a protection the item.

Cutting the tour mat.

Finished of the first stage.

Whoola, my complete DIY carrying case for UW housing and strobes.

Journey of My Wedding Shoot

Finally, it was time to do this.... So me and my soon to be wife had planned to do the shooting in Shenzhen , China. How come we'll decide to shoot in Shenzhen, China,  it was all because of one of my friend recommendation. Trust me he was not bluffing, after looking at their album and all those little stuffs, i decided.  Price was reasonable and i was sure i can't get the same as back in Malaysia.

The whole photo shooting was tiring, especially the road trip go and return from Guangzhou to Shenzhen. But it was definitely worth it.  First day we had to wake up early cause got to be at the boutique at 7.30 am sharp. Bride was busy choosing her wedding gowns, as for guy just wait and wait.  Now i experienced it guy never get the chance to choose as the boutique staff will match the suit for the guy according to the bride wedding gowns. After that, wait again for their make up, hair setting. There were few couples at the time as well.

OCT East (东部华侨城) located at Shenzhen was our first day shooting venue, journey took about 2 and half hour,  this was suffering as the wedding gowns was put on all the way to the destination.  But everything turns out pleasing as the good weather and nice scenery.

It took the whole day for this OCT East venue, it was 10 something at night by the time we reached Guangzhou.  So this is the first day of our outdoor wedding shoot. To be continued was our second day indoor shooting. This was less tiring and all done inside the studio in Guangzhou. As usual waiting for the makeup and blah blah blah then start shooting. Indoor one ended up quiet fast.  No pictures taken as it was not allowed.  Coming on was the third day at the beach in Shenzhen as well.  This was miserable, hot like hell, we're both sun burn after that. Cut the craps, pictures.......
